Sikkim Education Department announces Teacher Eligibility Test (Sikkim TET) 2021
Sikkim Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2021 – Education Department, Sikkim will be conducting Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2021 for selection of candidates for the post of Primary Teacher for Classes I to V and Elementary (Graduate) Teacher for Classes VI to VIII.

About Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test
- STET (Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test) will be conducted once a year. A person who has qualified STET may also appear again for improving his/her score in the following years.
- All candidates who pass the STET will be awarded a certificate. The validity of the certificate will be till he/she crosses the employability age as per the State Government norms. However, it does not cover the special exemption of higher age given to the temporary in-service employees.
- A Candidate who scores 60% or more in TET will be considered TET pass. 5% relaxation of marks is applicable to SC/ST, Central & State OBC candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for Sikkim TET 2021
- The candidate having the following minimum educational qualifications are eligible for appearing in STET.
Primary Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed or appearing* in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed or appearing* in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Graduate Teacher for classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)
- B.A./B.Sc./ with 50% marks, for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC (State) and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.).
- B.A./B.Sc./ with 50 % marks, for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed or appearing in the final year 2 year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks, for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC (State) and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks, for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC (State)and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

How to Apply?
- Application submission for Sikkim TET will be only through online form.
- Candidates should start filling the Online form only after paying the Exam Fee, as the Payment has to be filled in the form. Fee once paid will not be refunded
- Before starting to fill the Online Form, keep ready the following:
- Bank Receipt of Payment. (Can be paid from any Bank through core banking)
- Scanned/Digital Photograph (of the Applicant)
- Scanned Signature (of the Applicant)
- Working email and mobile no. (of the Applicant)
Application Fee
- Exam fee – Rs. 400/-
- Mode of Payment – Exam fee should be deposited in favor of Joint Director/ Examinations, HRDD from any bank or branches of IDBI Bank
Sikkim TET 2021 Admit Card
- Admit Cards will be issued to Candidates through email. Only approved applicants who submitted their application in hard-copy along with proof of fee payment will be receiving the Admit Cards. All the updates will be posted at sikkimhrdd.org.
