HVF Avadi Apprentice Recruitment 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Educational Qualifications
Category – I Graduate Apprentices
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a Statutory University in a relevant discipline.
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in a relevant discipline.
- Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.
Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices
- A Diploma in Engineering or technology (Full time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in a relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology(Full time) granted by a University in a relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering and Technology is granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.
Age Limit
- The age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
Reservation of Vacancies
- Guidelines under the Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be followed. Those who are claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PwD shall provide the certificate as per Government standard format failed which their claim for reservation will be considered as ‘General’ category only. If BC/MBC candidates claim OBC (Non-creamy layer) category, they should bring OBC(NCL) certificate as per the approved (OBC (NCL)) format from the certificate-issuing authority.
Minimum Physical Standards
- As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992, and amendments thereof if any.
Duration of Training
- The duration of Apprenticeship training will be a period of one year as per the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
Previous Training/Experience
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or have one year or more experience are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
Selection Procedure
- The Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is interested in the task of preparing shortlisting from the online application data.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at HVF, Avadi, Chennai.

How to Apply?
For students who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal and have login details
- Please note: After verification of student enrolment by BOAT (SR), a student can able to log in and apply
Step 1:
- Login
- Click Establishment Request Menu
- Click Find Establishment
- Upload Resume
- Choose Establishment name f. Type “HEAVY VEHICLES FACTORY” and search
- Click apply
- Click apply again.
For students who have not so far enrolled in the National Web Portal
Step 1:
- Go to mhrdnats.gov.in
- Click Enroll
- Complete the application form
- A unique Enrolment Number for each student will be generated.
- Please Note: Please wait for at least one day for enrollment verification and approval. After this student can proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 :
- Login
- Click Establishment Request Menu
- Click Find Establishment
- Upload Resume
- Choose Establishment name f. Type “HEAVY VEHICLES FACTORY” and search
- Click apply
- Click apply again
Travel Expenses
- No TA / DA will be paid for attending certificate verification.
Boarding/Lodging
- No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible.
- Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period, HEAVY VEHICLES FACTORY has no obligation to offer employment to such apprentices nor can an apprentice claim the right for employment on the grounds of completion of Apprenticeship.
