Mazagon Dock Recruitment 2022 – The Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDSL), a Govt. of India undertaking, has released MDSL Apprentice Notification 2022 invited online applications from eligible Graduate and Diploma holders for filling Eighty-Six (86) vacancies to the post of Graduate and Diploma Apprentice at MDSL through direct recruitment to be posted at Mumbai in Maharashtra, India on a fulltime basis

MDL Details

• Mazagon Dock Ship Builders Limited (MDL), a listed premier Mini Ratna Company of Ministry of Defence, Dept. of Defence Production, invites Online Application from eligible Graduate / Diploma holders for undergoing One Year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973. Eligibility Criteria for Mazagon Dock Recruitment 2022

Educational Qualification

Graduate Apprentices

• The candidates must have completed a Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline. OR
• The candidates must have completed a Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline. OR
• The candidates must have completed Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

Diploma Apprentices

• The candidates must have completed a Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline. OR
• The candidates must have completed a Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an University in relevant discipline OR
• The candidates must have completed a Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an institution recognized by State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
• Those candidates having qualifications equivalent to any of the prescribed qualifications should submit Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority and without such certificate, their candidature will not be considered.
• Candidate passed their final qualifying semester of Degree / Diploma course in above mention engineering branches recognized by AICTE or GOI, on or after 01 April 2019 are eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• The Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules

Reservation of Vacancies

• Apprentices Act Guidelines on reservation applicable for SC, ST, OBC NCL, EWS & PWD will be strictly followed.

Minimum Physical Standards

• As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992 and amendments thereof if any.

Duration of Training

• The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.

Previous Training

• Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973 in any Government or Public Sector or Private industrial organization are not eligible to apply

Mazagon Dock Recruitment 2022 Selection Procedure

• Candidates willing to apply for Graduate Apprentice trainee in MDL will be required to submit the online application through Govt. NATS portal. Refer Annexure-I & II for details related to registration & Application in NATS portal.
• The shortlisted candidates, as per merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, shall be called for document verification at MDL. The candidates would be required to furnish documents regarding proof of Date of Birth, Qualification, and Category etc.
• The date, time and venue for document verification would be intimated to the shortlisted candidates accordingly, in their email id registered on NATS portal as well as on uploading details on Company’s website
• Every candidate should have a valid email id & mobile no. and the same has to be registered with NATS. The email id & mobile no. must remain active until the end of the training programme in respect of the selected candidates. MDL will not be responsible for any loss of e-mail sent due to invalid / wrong E-mail ID provided by the candidate or delivery of e-mails to SPAM / BULK mail folder etc.
• Shortlisted candidate has to attend the document verification on the date & time at MDL, intimated by the Company. Failure by the candidate to attend the document verification process on the date & time at the venue, would be treated as his/her Unwillingness to accept the selection procedure for the Graduate / Diploma Apprentice with MDL and those candidates will not be considered in further Selection Procedure
• The selection shall be made based on merit of 80% marks of qualification & 20% marks obtained in the interview

• After completing enrollment / registration as Apprentice, the candidates have to apply to the respective discipline through the NATS portal against seats notified by MDL (ID No. / Registration Number of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in NATS Portal is WMHMCS000044). Procedure to apply for Apprenticeship training in MDL may be seen at Annexure-II given along with this advertisement.
• In case of any issues / queries related top NATS portal, you may please contract Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) (Western Region), Mumbai, as the NATS portal is instituted by BOAT
• Incomplete applications / applications not supported by self-authenticated copies of relevant documents/ application not meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria / application received through other than NATS portal or applications received after the last date stipulated for receipt of applications shall be summarily rejected.
• The decision of MDL Management will be final and binding on candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the application, mode of selection, cancellation of the selection process (either in part of full) etc. Filling up of the vacancies is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for engagement if some of the vacancies are not filled for any reason.
