JEE Main 2025 syllabus will be released online and will outline the exam pattern for subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Architecture, and Planning. Organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the JEE Main exam facilitates admissions to Engineering, Architecture, and Planning programs at IITs, IIITs, and NITs.

As a national-level examination conducted twice a year, it is crucial for students to review the syllabus thoroughly to ensure effective preparation.

JEE Main 2025 Syllabus

In response to various boards’ decisions on syllabus reductions, the NTA may introduce choices in one section of each subject for Paper 1 and Part I of Papers 2A and 2B, similar to previous years. However, the total number of questions to be attempted is expected to remain unchanged, where applicable.

Before taking the exam, candidates should thoroughly familiarize themselves with the JEE Main syllabus. For the B.Tech/B.E. paper, the JEE Main 2025 syllabus will include three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The specific syllabus details for each subject are outlined below:

Reduced Syllabus for JEE Main (Previous Year)

For the JEE Main 2024 exam, the NTA made several reductions to the syllabus. This reduced syllabus aligns closely with the NCERT/CBSE curriculum for classes 11 and 12. The following topics were removed from each subject:

  • Physics: The unit on Communication Devices has been omitted.
  • Chemistry: Topics removed include Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals, S-Block Elements, States of Matter, Hydrogen, Alcohols and Phenols, Environmental Chemistry, Ethers, and Polymers.
  • Mathematics: The units on Mathematical Induction and Mathematical Reasoning have been removed.
