GITAM GAT 2021 Notification – The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), Visakhapatnam has released an admission notification has invited online applications from interested, eligible candidates to apply for its Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Architecture (BArch), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) Programmes offered at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam Campuses for the commencing session 2021.
GITAM GAT 2021 Notification
- The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), Visakhapatnam has released an admission notification inviting applications from interested, eligible candidates to apply for its Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Master of Technology (M Tech) and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) Programmes offered at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam Campuses for the commencing session 2021.

In Which mode the GAT Tests are conducted?
- GITAM Admission Test (GAT) is a computer based online test conducted for admission to UG & PG Technology & Pharmacy Programs in GITAM University at its Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam Campuses
Details of Admission Test GAT (UGTP) 2021
- The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections and all questions are objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks
- Section-A: Mathematics/Biology 40 (no of questions); 160 (marks)
- Section-B: Physics 30 (no of questions); 120 (marks)
- Section-C: Chemistry 30 (no of questions); 120 (marks)
- Total: 100 (no of question); 400 (marks)

Eligibility Criteria for GITAM GAT 2021
For Bachelor of Architecture (BArch):
A pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA), New Delhi, (or) a pass in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main -Paper-II (B.Arch.) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in collaboration with Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
Students passed the 10+2 level examination with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate. OR
10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject, with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
For Bachelor of Technology (BTech):
Pass in qualifying examination i.e., Intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized central / state board or its equivalent either in 2021 or 2020 and also rank obtained in GAT (Engineering UG) – 2021, subject to the following criteria:
B.Tech. programs : A minimum of 60% o r 6.0 CGPA (55% incase of CBSE and ICSE) aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry in the qualifying examination.
B.Tech. in Biotechnology : A minimum of 60% or 6.0 CGPA (55% incase of CBSE and ICSE) aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry in the qualifying examination.
For Master of Technology (M.Tech)
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination from recognized University and score obtained in GAT (Engineering PG) 2021.
For Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm):
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects.
For Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm):
Pass in B.Pharm. from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and score obtained in GAT (PG Pharmacy) – 2021.

GITAM GAT Exam 2020 Application Process
- Candidate can apply online on the official website https://apply.gitam.edu/
- Carefully read GAT-2021 information, before proceeding to apply online.
- Candidates read all the instructions and eligibility criteria for the admission test before proceeding to fill the online application form.
- Candidates who have scored well on the JEE, TS EAMCET or AP EAMCET exams are eligible to apply for admission. If you have not appeared for any of these exams, you need to apply for the GITAM Admission Test (GAT). See the steps below to know how to apply with the GAT.
- Appeared for the GITAM Aptitude Test (GAT) 2021.
- Based on the score, attend the counselling session.
- Select your course and campus.

Important Points to note about GAT Test 2021
- Hall Tickets will not be sent by post
- The University is not responsible for delay in receipt or loss of Application
- In all matters in the conduct of GAT-2021, the decision of the Vice-Chancellor will be final All disputes pertaining to GAT-2021 shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam

GITAM GAT 2021 Exam Pattern
B.Arch
The duration of the test is 2 hours. All 100 questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions) with background of B. Architecture. Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks.
BTech, B.Pharma
The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections and all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks. The wrong answer and unanswered questions will receive nil marks.
- Section A : Mathematics / Biology : 40 questions : 80 marks
- Section B : Physics 30 questions : 60 marks
- Section C : Chemistry : 30questions : 60 marks
M.Tech.
The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections and all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options of which one is correct. - Section A : Quantitative Aptitude : 40 questions : 80 marks
- Section B : Reasoning : 30 questions : 60 marks
- Section C : Verbal Ability : 30 questions : 60 marks
Note : GATE qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for GAT (Engineering PG) – 2021. However, they need to apply for admission and have to attend counselling as per the schedule.
M.Pharm
The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of four sections and all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks. The wrong answer and unanswered questions will receive nil marks.
- Section A : Pharmaceutics :25 questions : 50
- Section B : Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance : 25 questions : 50 marks
- Section C : Pharmacology : 25 questions : 50 marks
- Section D : Pharmaceutical Chemistry : 25 questions : 50 marks
Note: GPAT qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for GAT (PG Pharmacy) – 2021. However, they need to apply for admission and have to attend counselling as per the schedule.
Mode of Test
The test will be held online.
The students can give the test through a computer, tablet or a mobile, which should have an internet connection and a working front camera. The test is web proctored and usage of any unfair means is forbidden. The login details for the test will be shared with the candidates prior to the exam.
