Educational Qualifications
Shorthand Writer (Higher Grade)
- Possess University Degree, preference being given to candidates possessing Degree in Law. This condition of University Degree may be relaxed if the candidate is already working for not less than 5 years as Lower Grade Stenographer in the High Court or in any other Court or Tribunal or in the office of Advocate General or Government Pleader.
- Qualify Government Commercial Certificate Examination or Examination conducted by Government Board or I.T.I. Or Credible Institute for Speed of 100 words per minute in English Shorthand and 40 words per minute in English Typing
- Possess Computer Certificate as to proficiency in operation of Word Processor, M. S. Office, M. S. Word, Open Office Writer obtained from a) Universities established under the Goa/ Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994. b) Goa/Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education c) NIC d) DOEACC e) APTECH f) NIIT g) C-DAC h) DATAPRO i) SSI j) BOSTON k) CEDIT l) MS-CIT OR Credible Institutions or Government Recognized Institutions
- Knowledge of Konkani
Junior Translator & Interpreter
- Possess University Degree in languages viz. English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarathi, preference being given to candidates who are holders of Degree in Law.
- Are proficient in English and at least any two of the following languages viz. Hindi, Marathi, Gujarathi and Konkani
- Possess knowledge in operating Computer i.e. MSCIT Certificate or DOEACC’s, CCC, O, A, B or C level Certificate or CDAC’s 6 months Diploma Certificate or Degree or Diploma in Computer Application from Recognized University/ Credible Institution
Clerk
- Possess University Degree, preference being given to the holders of Degree in Law
- Must have passed Government Commercial Certificate Examination or Examination conducted by Government Board or I.T.I. Or Credible Institute for English Typing with speed of 40 words per minute
- Possess knowledge in operating Computer i.e. MSCIT Certificate or DOEACC’s, CCC, O, A, B or C level Certificate or CDAC’s 6 months Diploma Certificate or Degree or Diploma in Computer Application from Recognized University/ Credible Institution
- Knowledge of Konkani
Cook
- Should have passed at least IV Standard Examination. Preference is given to candidates with higher qualifications (subject to the shortlisting criteria being applied as prescribed by the Bombay High Court)
- Adequate knowledge and experience in cooking.
- Knowledge of Konkani
Pay Scale
- Shorthand Writer (Higher Grade) – Level 6 of the 7th Pay Matrix * & other allowances as admissible under the rules Rs.35400/- Rs.112400/-
- Junior Translator – Level 6 of the 7th Pay Matrix & other allowances as admissible under the rules Rs.35400/- Rs.112400/-
- Clerk – Level 2 of the 7th Pay Matrix & other allowances as admissible under the rules Rs.19900/ – Rs.63200/-
- Cook – Level 1 of the 7th Pay Matrix & other allowances as admissible under the rules Rs.18000/- Rs.56900/-
Application Fee
- The Application Fee for the related post prescribed hereunder shall be paid using the ‘e-challan’ facility. The said fee shall be non-refundable.
- Shorthand Writer (Higher Grade) – Rs.500/-
- Junior Translator & Interpreter – Rs.500/-
- Clerk – Rs.500/-
- Cook – Rs.500/-

- Shorthand Writer (Higher Grade): 21 years – 45 years

- Step2: Select the Notification PDF.
- Step3: Application Form available in Official Site. The applicant can download the application form in the Official Site.
- Applications should be addressed to the “Registrar (Administration), High Court of Bombay at Goa, Panaji – Goa-403001 and be sent only by R.P.A.D. or Speed Post in an envelope, duly super scribed with the words “Application for the post of “……….. (mention name of the post) …………….” so as to reach this office by 5.30 p.m. on or before 22nd November 2019
- Applicants desiring to apply for more than one post will have to apply separately. Applications received thereafter or sent by any other mode. Such as Ordinary Post or by Hand Delivery will not be accepted.
