DLW Railway Varanasi Apprentice Recruitment 2019: Diesel Locomotive Works, Indian Railways (Varanasi) has invited applications for the recruitment of apprentices. A total of 374 seats are available out of which 300 are for ITI candidates and 74 for Non-ITI. Eligible candidates can apply for the post through the official website on or before 21st November 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for DLW Railway Varanasi Apprentice Recruitment 2019
Education Qualification
- For Non-ITI – The Candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks. Candidate should have passed the prescribed qualification before the date of the issue of notification i.e., October 21, 2019.
- For ITI – The Candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, from recognized Board and also must be passed ITI in the relevant trades. Candidate should have passed the prescribed qualification before the date of issue of notification i.e., 21st October 2019
- Candidates should note that no weightage will be given for higher academic qualifications.
Age Limit (as on 21st Nov 2019)
- For Non-ITI – Non-ITI candidate has completed 15 years of age and is not more than 22 years old
- For ITI – IT passed in the relevant trade has completed 15 years of age, and not more than 24 years
- *Age limit for welder trade, and carpenter candidates – from 15 years to 22 years only
Relaxation in Age Limit
- Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes – 05 Years
- Other Backward Castes – 03 Years
- Physical Handicap UR-10 Years, SC/ST-15 Yr., OBC-13 Yr
- Ex-Servicemen candidates who have completed not less than 6 months continuous service after attestation
- The service period provided in the Defence forces is plus 3 years, which should not be more than 10 years
Selection Procedure
- The candidate’s candidature will be considered on the basis of merit list in each unit, which will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in the matriculation examination (with minimum 50%)
- However, in the non-ITI selection, ITI passed candidates will be selected but they will not be given any weightage of ITI score, they must have only mark sheet/ certificate of notified trade.
Training
- Selected candidates for training will have an apprenticeship contract with DLW, and all candidates will be required to comply with all conditions of this agreement.
Stipend
- The stipend will be paid as per Railway Board’s instructions issued from time to time
Application Fee
- The application fee is Rs 100/. Candidates have to register and make online payment till 16:45 hrs of date 02nd November 2019
- Online payment can be made through debit/credit card or internet banking
- The candidates applying under the seats of Act Apprentice will have to pay Rs 100/- and application service charge will also to be borne by the candidate
- Fee Rs.100/- will not be refundable
- No fee is required for SC/ST/PH and a woman candidate
- Except for SC/ST/PWD/Female, if the candidates have not submitted the application fee, the application will be rejected
