Eligibility for OSSC Junior Engineer Recruitment 2019

Educational Qualification

Junior Engineer (Civil)

• The applicants must have possessed a Diploma in Civil Engineering conducted by Odisha State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training or an equivalent qualification for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) from any institution recognized by the Odisha State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE&VT). The applicant must have passed the examination on the closing date of the online application form.
• The applicant must have Odia as one of the subjects in the HSC or passed examination in Odia equivalent to M.E. standard or passed in Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class-VII or passed a test in Odia in M.E. School Standard conducted by Education Department Govt. of Odisha on the date of the Application.

Junior Engineer (Mechanical)

• The applicants must have possessed a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering conducted by Odisha State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training or an equivalent qualification for the post of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) from any institution recognized by the Odisha State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE&VT). The applicant must have passed the examination on the closing date of the online application form.
• The applicant must have Odia as one of the subjects in the HSC or passed examination in Odia equivalent to M.E. standard or passed in Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class-VII or passed a test in Odia in M.E. School Standard conducted by Education Department Govt. of Odisha on the date of the Application

Age Limit (As on 01st Jan 2019)

• The applicants should be between 21 years and 32 years of age. There is age relaxation for the reserved categories and women applicants in accordance with the government rules.

Age Relaxation

• 05 years in case of SEBC, SC, ST & Women applicants
• 10 years relaxation in case of PWD category applicants
• The period of qualifying years of service rendered in Defence Forces in case of Ex-SM Applicants and upto 45 years in case of In-Service Contractual Employees as on 01st January 2019

OSSC Junior Engineer Recruitment 2019 Selection Process

• The selection shall be made through Career Evaluation and Objective Type Written Test, Certificate verification and merit list.
• The main written examination will be the objective type to be conducted in the OMR Sheet/ or CBRT.
• 50% Weightage will be awarded in the written examination.
• There shall be negative marking at 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• No marks will be awarded or deducted for any question left unattempted.

Examination Fees

• For General – Rs.200/-
• For ST, SC & PWD Applicants – No Fees

Pay the Salary

• The Pay for the hired applicants will be Rs.16880/- Per Month.
