Board of Secondary Education Odisha (BSEO) announces Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2022
Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2022 (OTET 2022) – The Odisha Board of Secondary Education headquartered in Cuttack has invited online applications from eligible candidates for appearing at the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2022.

| The Govt. have decided that, to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in government schools across the state, one should pass teacher eligibility test and accordingly, the following guidelines have been framed for conduct of the Teacher Eligibility Test called OTET in the State. | |

Eligibility Criteria for OTET 2022
- Before filling the application, form candidate should go through the eligibility criteria first. If the candidate will not full fill all the eligibility criteria then that candidate will not be allowed to appear in the exam. From below candidate can see the Eligibility Criteria for OTET 2022.
- Nationality: Candidate must hold Indian Citizenship.
- Read and Write: Candidate must be able to read and write in Odia language.
Qualification of Primary Teachers – Paper I (Category A)
- Class 12 with 50% of marks
- The applicants must have D.EI.Ed or B.EI.Ed with at least 50% of the marks.
- As per the new NCTE rules, B.Ed graduates are also eligible for primary teacher posts.
- Therefore, B.Ed graduates with at least 50% of marks can apply for OTET Paper I exam.
- For reserved category candidates, there will be 5% relaxation in the marks.
Qualification for Class 6 to 8 Teachers – Paper II (Category B)
- The applicant must be a B.Sc, B.Com, B.A, B.E/B.Tech graduate with at least 50% of the marks.
- The applicant must have B.Ed degree with at least 50% of the marks.
- Candidates who have completed integrated B.A. B.Ed or B.Sc B.Ed are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply?

Instruction to Apply
- Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appearing at the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2022 as per the following guidelines:
- Applications shall be received through ONLINE mode only on visiting the Link website bseodisha.ac.in
- The payment of the fee shall be done through SBI Collect either in online or offline mode latest. However, filling up of forms through online can be carried.
- The step by step instructions for online registration, guidelines containing applicability, eligibility & qualifying criteria of the candidates, syllabus & its structure, instructions for physical handicapped candidates & format for continuing certificate are available in the website www.bseodisha.nic.in
- The date for downloading of Admit Cards & date of the Exam shall be notified in due course. Under no circumstances the last date for submission of application forms shall be extended

- For SC/ST Category: Rs.300/-

Marking Scheme
- One mark will be awarded for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking in the exam.
OTET 2022 Admit Card
- After completion of the application process, admit card for the exam will be released. The candidates who will fill the application form in time will be able to download the admit card from the official website at bseodisha.nic.in
- The admit card will be released online no other mode will be introduced for downloading it. For downloading the admit card candidates have to provide the login credentials on the website.
