PSTET 2021 Notification, Apply Online Important Dates, Syllabus
PSTET 2021 Notification – The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released the notification for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET). Eligible candidates can apply from 25th November 2021 to 06th December 2021. Willing people can apply online.

Eligibility Criteria for PSTET 2021
- Nationality: Indian (belonging to the State of Punjab)
- Number of Attempts: No limit
- Educational qualification required for the PSTET Exam 2021 depends on the post the candidates are applying for. The two levels of posts available under the PSTET exam 2021 are Primary Teacher (Paper-I) and Upper Primary Teacher (Paper-II)

Educational Qualification
Paper 1: Class I to V (Primary)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
- Candidates who possessed “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for becoming Teachers for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates has mandatory to undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.
Paper 2: Class VI to VIII (Upper Primary)
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).
- Any candidate having qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET exam.
Age Limit
- Minimum age limit to apply for the PSTET exam 2021 is 18 years. However, there is no upper age limit for the candidates aspiring to apply for the PSTET 2021 exam.

How to Apply?
- Candidates can visit the official Website at http://www.pseb.ac.in/ or https://pstet.pseb.ac.in/
- Then go to the homepage and click on the Registration link.
- Register yourself and get Registration Number and Password which will be sent your registered E-mail ID and Password.
- Now re-login your account.
- Fill in the all the relevant information
- Then Upload the Photographs and Signatures in the required format.
- After that, pay the required application fee.
- At last, take a printout of the application form for further reference.

PSTET 2021 Exam Pattern
- PSTET Exam Pattern 2021 consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II. The duration of the PSTET Exam 2021 is 1 and a half hours. There will be 150 questions each carrying 1 mark
- There is no negative marking
- Duration: 2 hr 30 minutes (150 minutes)
- Type of Question: MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)
- Number of Question: 150
- Marking Scheme: (+1) for every right answer
- There will be no negative marking

PSTET Syllabus 2021
The Punjab TET 2021 Syllabus for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET 2021) is as follows:
- Mathematics: Numbers, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Arithmetic, Shapes and Spatial Understanding.
- Child Development Pedagogy: Child Development (Primary School Children): Understanding Children with special needs, Learning Pedagogy and Concept of Inclusive Education.
- Language I (Punjabi): Comprehension based questions and concepts for language development.
- Language II (English): Comprehension based question in English and development of language.
- Social Studies/ Social Sciences: History, Geography, Political and Social Life, etc.
- Environmental Studies: Water, Parts of Body, Air, Habitats, Natural Resources, Solar System, Food Resource and Care, Our Surroundings.
