Eligibility for South Central Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2019

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 15 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years
• Relaxation in the maximum age limit is applicable up to 5 years for SC/ ST applicants and up to 3 years for OBC applicants, 10 years for PWD candidates and Ex-servicemen.

Eligible date of birth range for different communities is as follows:

• UR: Candidates should be born between 9th Dec 1995 and 8th Dec 2004 (both dates inclusive)
• SC/ ST: Candidates should be born between 09th Dec 1990 and 8th Dec 2004 (both dates inclusive)
• OBC: Candidates should be born between 9th Dec 1992 and 8th Dec 2004 (both dates inclusive)
• PWBD (UR): Candidates should be born between 9th Dec 1985 and 8th Dec 2004 (both dates inclusive)
• PWBD (SC/ ST): Candidates should be born between 9th Dec 1980 and 8th Dec 2004 (both dates inclusive)
• PWBD (OBC): Candidates should be born between 9th Dec 1982 and 8th Dec 2004 (both dates inclusive)
• Ex-Servicemen: Candidates should be born between 9th Dec 1985 and 8th Dec 2004 (both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications

• Applicants should have passed 10th Class or it’s equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks and ITI certificate in the relevant trade from the institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT
• Candidate have to possess the required qualification as on the date of opening of online application i.e, 9th November 2019
• ITI certificates issued by institutes affiliated to NCVT/ SCVT are compulsory in the relevant trades as under:
• AC Mechanic: 10th/ SSC with 50% (aggregate) marks plus ITI Mechanic (R&AC) trade
• Carpenter: 10th/ SSC with 50% (aggregate) marks plus ITI Carpenter trade
• Diesel Mechanic: 10th/ SSC with 50% (aggregate) marks plus ITI Diesel Mechanic trade
• Electrical/ Electronics/ Electrician: 10th/ SSC with 50% (aggregate) marks plus ITI Electrician trade
• Electronic Mechanic: 10th/ SSC with 50% (aggregate) marks plus ITI Electronic Mechanic trade
• Fitter: 10th/ SSC with 50% (aggregate) marks plus ITI Fitter trade
• Machinist: 10th/ SSC with 50% (aggregate) marks plus ITI Machinist trade
• MMW/ MMTM: 10th/ SSC with 50% (aggregate) marks plus ITI Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance or Millwright Maintenance trade

South Central Railway Recruitment 2019 Selection Process

• The selection of the applicants will be based on the merit list which is prepared by the officials based on the marks obtained by the candidates in both 10th Class/ Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both
• In the case of two candidates having the same marks, a candidate with older age will be given preference
• In case the DOBs are also same, then a candidate who has passed matriculation/10th class exam earlier will be given preference
• There is no written test or via-voice. Eligible candidates will be called for the document verification process.

• Applicants have to submit the South Central Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2019 application form through online mode only. The starting date to fill the SCR application form 09th November 2019 and available up to 08th December 2019.

Important points to keep in mind before applying for SCR Apprentice Jobs

• Candidates must possess an Aadhaar card at the time of registration. Applicants have to fill 12 digits Aadhaar Card number in the online application. Aspirants not having aadhaar number and have enrolled for aadhaar but have not received Aadhaar card can enter 28 digits Aadhar enrolment ID printed on the Aadhaar Enrolment slip.
• Applicants should ensure that their name, father’s name, date of birth should exactly match as recorded in Matriculation or equivalent certificate. Any changes are found, it may lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
• Before the registration process, candidates must have the verified mobile number and valid E-mail ID by OTP (One time password) received through SMS/ Email and keep them active during the entire recruitment process as messages will be sent by email/SMS.
