UPPSC State Engineering Services Exam 2022 for Assistant Engineer Vacancy

UPPSC Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2022 – Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), Prayagraj started the online application process for State Engineering Services Exam 2022 (SES Exam 2022) for Recruitment to the post of Assistant Engineer, U.P. Agriculture Service Group ‘B’, Manager, Chief Fire Officer and Assistant Television Engineer from August 2022.

Eligible and interested candidates would be able to register for UPPSC AE Recruitment 2022 upto September 2022. However, the last date for submitting application form is September 2022. A total of 281 vacancies (tentative) will be filled through this exam under various government department of the state.

UPPSC Assistant Engineer Pay Scale (Salary)

• Rs.15,600-Rs. 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-.

Reservation

• The reservation for Scheduled Castes of U.P./Scheduled Tribes of U.P./Other Backward Class of U.P./Economically Weaker Sections candidates of U.P. shall be admissible in accordance with the provisions of relevant Govt. Rules.
• Accordingly, reservation for category under horizontal as Dependents of Freedom Fighters of U.P., Ex-serviceman of U.P., P.H. of U.P. and Women candidates shall be admissible on settlement of vacancies.
• Reservation for PH of U.P. shall be permissible for the notified/identified posts.
• The Candidates claiming the benefit of reservation/age relaxation must obtain, in support of their category a certificate issued by competent authority on the proforma available on Appendix-3 of the Website of this detailed advertisement and shall submit the same to the Commission when asked for
• All Reserved category candidates of U.P. must mention their Category/Sub Category in the Application.
• Candidates claiming reservation/Age relaxation in more than one category will be entitled to only one concession whichever is more beneficial to them.
• The Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Class, Economically Weaker Sections, Dependents of Freedom Fighter, Ex-service Man and PH candidates who are not the permanent residents of U.P. shall not be given the benefit of reservation/Age relaxation.

Eligibility for UPPSC Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2022

Eligibility Conditions

• Eligibility in case of Emergency Commissioned/Short Service Commissioned Officers: In accordance with the provision of Emergency Commissioned/Short Service Commissioned Officers who have not been released from Army but whose period of Army service has been extended for rehabilitation may also apply for this examination on the following conditions:
• Such applicants will have to obtain a certificate of the competent authority of Army, Navy, Air Force to the effect that their period of Service has been extended for rehabilitation and no disciplinary action is pending against them.
• Such applicants will have to submit in due course a written undertaking that in case they are selected for the post applied for, they will get themselves released immediately from the Army Service. The above facilities will not be admissible to Emergency/Short Service Commissioned Officers, if (a) he gets permanent Commission in the Army, (b) he has been released from the Army on tendering resignation.

Marital Status

• Male candidates who are married and have more than one wife living and female candidates who have married a person already having a wife, shall not be eligible unless the Hon’ble Governor has granted exemption from this condition.

Educational Qualification for Assistant Engineer

• Assistant Engineer (Civil) Public Works Department (P.W.D): Candidates Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a university established by law in India or a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.
• Assistant Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical) Public Works Department (P.W.D): Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an university established by law in India or any degree recognised equivalent by the Govt. or passed Associate Examination of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from City and Guild Institute (Imperial College of Science and Technology South, Kesingston) or passed section ‘A’ and ‘B’ of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers London or completely eligible Associate Engineers (India) or passed section ‘A’ and ‘B’ in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering of Institution of Engineers (India).
• Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Housing and Urban Planning Dept.): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized college or university in India or abroad.
• Assistant Engineer (Water) / ‘B’ Category Jalkal Engineer Nagar Vikas Vibhag: Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized College or University in India or abroad as recognized by the Institution of Engineers (India) and on the basis of which the candidate is eligible for Associate Membership Section ‘A’ and ‘B’ of the said Institution. OR Candidate must have passed Section ‘A’ and ‘B’ of Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• Assistant Engineer (Traffic) (Nagar Vikas Vibhag: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized College or University in India or abroad as recognized by the Institution of Engineers (India) and on the basis of which the candidate is exempted from Section ‘A’ and ‘B’ of the Associate Membership Examination of the said Institution. OR The candidate must have passed Section ‘A’ and ‘B’ of the Associate Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering.
• P Agriculture Service Group “B” (Engineering branch) (Agriculture Department): Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Engineering from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognized by Government as equivalent there to.
• Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Avas Evam Vikas Parishad): A candidate for direct recruitment to the service must, besides having a thorough Knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagri Script, hold the following qualification: A Degree in Civil Engineering from a University or institution established by Law in Uttar Pradesh or from any other Institution recognized by the State/Central Government or a Degree recognized as equivalent there to by the State/Cental Government.
• Assistant Engineer (Electrical) (Avas Evam Vikas Parishad): A candidate for direct recruitment to the service must, besides having a thorough Knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagri Script, hold the following qualification: A Degree in Electrical Engineering from a University or institution established by Law in Uttar Pradesh or from any other Institution recognized by the State/Central Government or a Degree recognized as equivalent thereto by the State/Central Government.
• Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Ground Water department): Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a University or recognized institution established by law in India or Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India) (Civil Engineering Branch) or any degree recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.
• Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) (Ground Water department): Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a University or recognized institution established by law in India or Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India) (Mechanical Branch) or any degree recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.

Age Limit

• Assistant Engineer AE (General Recruitment): 21-40 years as on 1st July 2022
• Assistant Engineer AE (Special Recruitment): 21-40 years as on 1st July 2022

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit

• Upper age limit shall be greater by five years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes of U.P., Scheduled Tribes of U.P., Other Backward Classes of U.P., Skilled players of U.P. of Classified Games, State Govt. Employees of U.P. including Teachers/Staff of the Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P. and Teachers/Staff of the Govt. Aided Madhyamik Vidyalayas of U.P. i.e. they must have not been born before 2nd July, 1974
• Upper age limit shall be greater by fifteen years for physically handicapped persons of U.P. (c) Upper age limit shall also be greater by five years for Group- ‘B’ posts for the Emergency Commissioned Officers/ Short Service Commissioned Officers/Ex-Army Personnel’s of U.P. who have rendered five years service in Army, but there shall be no reservation for Group- ‘B’ posts.

• On clicking “View Application status” option in Candidate Segment page you can see current status of candidate.
• On clicking “Result” option in Candidate Segment page candidate can see result status of periodically.
• “Interview/Exam Schedule” option in Candidate Segment page candidate can see interview and examination schedule details periodically.
• On clicking “Key Answer Sheet” candidate can download key answer sheet
• On clicking “Admit Card/Hall Ticket” candidate can download their Admit Card using with some basic credential of candidate.
• On clicking “List of Rejected Candidate” candidate can view Rejected candidate list.
• On clicking “Syllabus” candidate can view syllabus of particular examination.
• Candidates applying on-line need NOT send hard copy of the Online Application filled by them on-line or any other document/certificate/testimonial to the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. However they are advised to take printout of the On-line Application and retain it for further communication with the UPPSC
• Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to examination. Their admission at all the stages of the exam will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions
