Eligibility Criteria for CCL Junior Overman Recruitment 2020
Educational Qualification
- Applicants must have Valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 1957 or any other certificate in Mining which entitle to work as Overman as per Coal Mine Regulation 1957 Valid Gas Testing Certificate, Valid First-Aid Certificate.
Age Limit
- The applicants must have completed 18 years of age & also should not be more than 30 years of age as on 10th November 2020. However, the upper age limit as mentioned above is relaxed by:
- 05 years for SC&ST applicants
- 03 years for OBC applicants (Non-Creamy Layer)
- Age limit shall not be a bar for Departmental applicants & applicants of other subsidiary companies of Coal India Limited fulfilling all eligibility criteria. However, their application should be forwarded through proper channel only

Selection Process
- The selection of the above post will be based on the performance in the written test.
- Eligible applicants will be required to appear for an objective type written the test at any one of the test centers at Ranchi. The exact schedule of written tests will be displayed on the CCL website (www.centralcoalfields.in) in due course.
- No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the written test
Health/Medical Fitness
- Appointment to the above post will be subject to the applicant being medically fit as per the standards prescribed for the post by the company
- The selected applicants will have to undergo a medical examination by the company’s Authorized Medical Board & the final Appointment/Joining will be subject to the Medical Fitness Certificate so issued by the company’s Authorized Medical Board only
CCL Junior Overman Pay Scale
- Selected applicants will be inducted as Junior Overman (Trainee) in T & S Grade C with initial basic pay of Rs.31852.56 under NCWA-X and will remain on training for one year
- After successful completion of one-year training/probation, their probation period will be closed or otherwise extended as the case may be.
Application Fee (Non-Refundable)
- For General/OBC: Rs.200/- and For SC/ST/PwD: Rs.Nil
- Applicants belonging to General, Economically Weaker Section & OBC (Both Creamy & Non-Creamy Layer) category are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.200/- only through the Online Payment Portal or by Challan which can be generated from CCL website once the applicant registers in the Online Recruitment section of the website
- SC/ST applicants are exempted from payment of application fee. However, for claiming the exemption in application fee they have to attach a self-attested copy of relevant certificates as applicable, issued by Competent Authority in the prescribed format, with the application form
CCL Junior Overman Recruitment 2020 Application Procedure
- Applicants fulfilling the eligibility requirements and other conditions specified above can apply only through the CCL website. Applications sent through any other mode will be rejected
- Applicants are requested to read the complete instruction hereunder before applying. Eligible applicants need to apply through CCL website centralcoalfields.in. Online Application will be open from 12th October 2020 till 11th November 2020 (midnight).
- Applicants are required to have a valid personal email ID. The email ID should be kept active till the entire recruitment process gets completed. No change in email ID will be allowed once entered.
Step 1: Registration
Login to www.centralcoalfields.in
- Click on “Online Services” in the CCL Homepage and thereafter go to “Online Recruitment”
- Please enter an email id for registration. Email id and password as provided during registration will be your log-in id and password
- The name and e-mail id provided during registration cannot be changed/corrected later and will appear on the application form. Please ensure to fill in the correct name as per your matriculation certificate
- Password Policy: Password should have a minimum of six characters with at least one alphabet, one numeric character and one of the following characters ! @ # $ % ^ * _ : } {; = ( ) + | ?
- Before proceeding for Registration, please read the Terms and Conditions and accept
Step 2: Login
- Please ensure that pop-ups are not blocked in browser settings; if it is blocked please ensure to allow pop up for this site
- Click on the login button and enter the E-mail id and password as used during registration in the pop-up window box
- After successfully logging in to the online recruitment portal, the site will display the current openings and posts applied so far and the option for making payment of Application Fee
Step 3: How to fill the online application
- Before filling the online application form, please ensure that the following documents are ready.
- Scanned recent color passport size self-attested photograph
- All educational & professional marks sheet and percentages of marks
- Please click on the relevant post for which you are going to apply
- Start filling the application with Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Address (present & permanent), date of birth, gender, etc., select the minimum required educational & professional qualifications from the dropbox and select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ for compliance
- Please note that the uploading of your scanned photograph and signature is mandatory.
- After completion of filling of applications, the system generates the application ID along with the filled application (PDF), which should be printed. A copy of the filled in the application form will be sent to your registered e-mail ID
