KARTET 2022 Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test Notification
Karnataka TET 2022 (Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test) – Government of Karnataka has been invited applications for Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test (KARTET) for hiring Teachers. Interested applicants willing to participate in the test are required to submit their online applications through KARTET 2022 from 01st July 2022 to 20th July 2022.

KARTET 2022
- Name of the Exam: Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test 2022
- Department of Primary & Secondary Education, Karnataka is inviting application from the eligible applicants for the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2022.
Name of the Paper
- Paper-I: For Class 1 to 5
- Paper-II: For Class 6 to 8
- The Govt. of Karnataka has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) to the Centralized Admission Cell (CAC), Bangalore

Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka TET 2022
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage-Paper-I):
- PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known); OR
- PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year or 4th year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed); or;
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)* or;
- BA/B.Sc. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI- VIII (Elementary Stage-Paper-II):
- B.A /B.Sc. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) (or); BA/B.Sc. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) (or); PUC/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) (or);
- PUC/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A /B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed /B.Sc.Ed (or)
- BA/B.Sc. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education)*
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-VIII (Elementary Stage Paper I & II):
- PUC/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) (or); BA/B.Sc. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
- Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education: For the purposes of this Notification, a Diploma/Degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered.
- However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.ED (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

Karnataka TET 2022 Exam Pattern
- As mentioned above there will be two papers in the KARTET 2022, Paper I for Primary Classes I to V and Paper II for Elementary Classes VI to VIII. Detailed Pattern for both Paper I and Paper II is provided below for your reference –
Paper I (for Classes I to V Primary Stage):
- Child Development & Pedagogy: 30 MCQs, 30 Marks
- Language-I: 30 MCQs, 30 Marks
- Language-II: 30 MCQs, 30 Marks
- Mathematics: 30 MCQs, 30 Marks
- Environmental Studies: 30 MCQs, 30 Marks
- Karnataka TET Syllabus consists of two Objective Type Question Papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs and each question carries one marks totaling for 150 marks; duration of the exam – two-and-a-half hours
- Exam Date: August 2022, 09.30 am to 12.00 noon (2.30 hrs)
Paper II (for Classes VI to VIII Elementary Stage):
- Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory): 30 MCQs, 30 Marks
- Language-I (compulsory): 30 MCQs, 30 Marks
- Language-II (compulsory): 30 MCQs, 30 Marks
- For Mathematics & Science: 60 MCQs, 60 Marks, (b) For Social Studies/Social Science teacher: 60 MCQs, 60 marks
- Karnataka TET Syllabus consists of two Objective Type Question Papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs and each question carries one marks totaling for 150 marks; duration of the examination – two-and-a-half hours.
Language of the Question Paper
- The medium of question paper other than the languages shall be in English, Kannada, Urdu, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi.

KARTET 2022 Exam Fees
- Applicants are required to remit the Examination Fee of Rs.500/ for appearing in either of Paper-II or I
- In case of General/2A, 2B, 3A, 3B Group applicants – Rs.1000/- for both Papers I & II
- In case of SC/ ST/CI applicants – Rs.250/- for either of Paper-I or Paper-II and Rs.400/- for both Papers I & II
- Service Charges will be charged Rs.10/- extra by the bank. The fee can be remitted in the following way through Computer generated Challan by depositing the prescribed fees in Cash to CAC Account with State Bank of Mysore.
Duplicate Copy
- Applicants can get a duplicate copy of the Marks Statement or Eligibility Certificate by paying Rs.1000/- fees by way of DD in favour of “SPECIAL OFFICER, CAC, BANGALORE” drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Bangalore.

How to Apply Online?
- Applicants are required to apply via online mode only through the official portal. Applications will be accepted via online mode only. Direct link has been provided above for filling up the Karnataka TET 2022 application form.
- Step 1: Fill in the Online Application Form with “Registration” and “Login”
- Step 2: “Personal Details” and Generate Challan to pay examination Fee at SBM
- Step 3: Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature
- Step 4: Last but not the least, Download the Confirmation page and Generate the print of submitted Application Form for your future reference.
- Applicants can apply online for KARTET 2022 through Dept. Website schooleducation.kar.nic.in on or before 20th July 2022
- Applicant particulars should be filled in online and the scanned JPEG images of photograph and signature should be uploaded at the time of filling the online application form.
- On completing the process of uploading all the relevant documents, the applicant should take a print of the computer-generated application containing the register no, applicant particulars, applied papers and complete address of the applicant.
Karnataka TET 2022 Admit Card
- The applicants may download their KARTET 2022 admit card from department website schooleducation.kar.nic.in from 12th August 2022 onwards and appear for the exam at the given Centre.
- In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signatures shown in the admission card and downloaded Final online application the candidate may immediately contact CAC for necessary correction
