Eligibility Criteria for OPTCL Recruitment 2022

Educational Qualification

• Graduate Engineering Apprentice – A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University/Institution in relevant discipline.
• Diploma (Technician) Engineering Apprentice – A Diploma in Engineering form recognized University/Council/ Institution relevant discipline.

Age Limit

• As per Apprenticeship Rules
• Candidate must not be under 18 (twenty-one) years of age and must not be above 32 (thirty-two) years as of 31.12.2021

Period of Apprenticeship Training

• The period of apprenticeship training in the case of Graduate (Degree) Engineering Apprentices/Diploma (Technician) Engineering Apprentices shall be one year i.e., 12 Months
• The training period will commence from the online contract date of Apprenticeship Training and will be for one year and the Apprentices shall be paid stipend from start of online contract date subject to satisfactory performance

• Graduate Engineering Apprentice – Rs. 9000/- (Per Month)
• Diploma (Technician) Engineering Apprentice – Rs. 8000/- (Per Month)

OPTCL Recruitment 2022 Selection Process

• The selection process involves Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Personal Interview.
• Eligible candidates will be called for Computer Based Test, comprising 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), out of which Subject Knowledge (80%), Numerical / GK & Reasoning (10%) & English Knowledge (10%)
• The CBT will be of Three (3) hours duration. In addition, there shall be an online Psychometric Test of 30 Minutes for which there shall be no marking in CBT
• However, the report of the psychometric test will be used at the time of the Personal Interview.
