Essential Qualification
- Candidates should possess B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engg.) / IDD in relevant discipline for Executive Trainee post.
- For Assistant Manager, candidates with M.E/MS/ M.Sc (Engg.)/ IDD in the concerned discipline may apply. Applicants should qualify in the Electrical Engineering paper of the GATE 2022 examination.

- Candidates appeared and hold valid scores in corresponding papers of GATE 2022.

- The application window for POSOCO shall be opened after the declaration of GATE-2022 results by the Organising Institute. A separate notification for the same shall be issued on the POSOCO website after the declaration of GATE-2022 results. Candidates have to register themselves online at the POSOCO website with details of their GATE-2022 Application Number, GATE-2022 Registration Number, GATE-2022 Score, and other required information, which will be made available in the CAREERS section of posoco.in
- SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of application fees. Candidates are required to log in to their candidate login section and then deposit non-refundable application fees of Rs. 500/- through online mode only. O N L Y on the submission of application fees, the application process will be treated as complete.
- Candidates are required to show their GATE-2022 application form, GATE-2022 Admit card, and GATE-2022 Score card for verification at the time of Group Discussion/Personal Interview/Joining in POSOCO.
- Candidates are not required to send any hard copy of the application to POSOCO. Incomplete applications/applications without application fees (if applicable) will be rejected

Application Fees

POSOCO Recruitment 2022 Selection Process
- “The Management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria and/or to conduct a screening test, to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Group Discussion & Personal Interview, if so required.”
- The decision of POSOCO regarding scrutiny of application and shortlisting shall be final and binding.
- The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2022, Group Discussion & Personal Interview. Eligible candidates will have to appear in the corresponding paper of GATE-2022 i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE).
- Candidates qualified in the corresponding paper of GATE-2022 i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE) shall only be eligible to apply for the posts of Assistant Manager (Power System) and Executive Trainee (Electrical).
- Qualifying marks in GATE-2022 shall be as decided by GATE-2022 Organising Institute. Qualified candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in the corresponding paper of GATE-2022 i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE). Candidates shall obtain information about their status through their candidate login at the POSOCO Online Application System. Shortlisted candidates shall be able to download their Group Discussion & Personal Interview call letter and other relevant documents through the candidate login.
- Also, shortlisted candidates shall be required to bring the documents, as mentioned in their call letter, at the time of the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates must qualify in the Personal Interview in order to be considered eligible for empanelment.

- For calculation of the final score of a candidate for empanelment, the weightage of marks obtained in GATE-2022, Group Discussion and Interview shall be as indicated below:

POSOCO Pay Scale/Salary Details
- Assistant Managers: Selected candidates will be placed at the level of E3 in the pay scale of Rs 60000- 180000 and the compensation package will also include Performance Related Pay, Company Leased Accommodation / Company Quarters or HRA, Reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure, mobile facility, Group Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance, PF, Gratuity, Pension & Leave encashment and other allowances & benefits, etc. as applicable.
- Executive Trainees: Selected candidates will be placed at the level of E3 in the pay scale of Rs 60000- 180000 and other allowances and benefits will be paid as applicable, during the one-year training period (which can be extended at the discretion of the management). On regularization, the compensation package will also include Performance Related Pay, Company Leased Accommodation / Company Quarters or HRA, Reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure, mobile facility, Group Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance, PF, Gratuity, Pension, Leave encashment, other allowances & benefits, etc. as applicable.
