UP Pre Matric Scholarship 2022 – In UP, there are a number of scholarship programs geared toward supporting students with financial necessities related to their education. There are several scholarship programs that fall under this umbrella which have been created by the Minority Welfare Department, Backward Classes Welfare Department, Tribal Welfare Department and Samaj Kalyan Vibhag. These include pre-matric and post-matric scholarships for SC/ ST/ OBC/ General category students.

The pre-matric scholarship program in Uttar Pradesh began due to multiple reasons. First of all, the increasing dropout rate and low enrollment rate (once they have enrolled) which was a cause of concern. The UP Pre-Matric Scholarship aims to promote secondary education among the children of Uttar Pradesh Class 9 and 10 students, and encourage them to continue their matriculation by providing financial aid to them.
UP Government are offering pre matric scholarships for the year 2022. This scholarship is available for students of class 9 and 10 who are from the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The pre matric Scholarship for SC ST and General Students, Uttar Pradesh 2022 is for students of Class 9 and 10. The initiative aims to promote secondary education among the children of Uttar Pradesh and encourage them to complete their matriculation by providing financial aid to them.
Eligibility for UP Pre Matric Scholarship 2022
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh
- Be studying in Class 9 and 10
- Belong to ST/SC/General category
- Have a family income of not more than INR 1 lakh per annum
